My husband and I are getting ready to celebrate our first anniversary and would like to do something very nice and fun but something that doesn't cost alot does anyone have an ideas to help us?

Re: Anniversary
Depending on where you live, you could go to one of the local wine trails in the area and do some tastings.
You could go to the shore for the day. It would cost you gas, beach tags for the day, your meals...and whatever else you want to do when you get there.
There are also lots of great BYOBs in the city and surrounding that makes a dinner out really affordable.
If you give a little more direction on what your looking for, the ladies here can definitely provide more specific suggestions!
My husband and I just celebrated our first anniversary in May. We booked a hotel down town using Hotwire, and got a really good deal. The closer you wait to book, the better the deal. I waited until that week, and was just about done paying when I X'ed out of the site. A few minutes later, I had an email with an even better "secret" rate.
With Hotwire, you don't find out the hotel name until you actually pay. We did know that it was a 4 star hotel, within .2 and .7 miles from the city center (Indepence Hall). Turns out, it was the Sheraton Society Hill. With taxes, we still paid less than $100 - much better than the advertised price of $260+ tax.
We checked in that afternoon, and brought a bottle of wine. We headed to the Capital Grille for dinner, and then grabbed after dinner drinks at Positano Coast (right across the street from the hotel). We were going to order room service the next morning, but the prices were crazy high. We ended up grabbing brunch at Sabrina's.
I think think pp's have it covered.
I will say that DH and I did wine tasting a few times and had an absolute blast. We went to a few places on the Bucks County Wine Trail: http://www.buckscountywinetrail.com/
I'd suggest maybe spacing them out or getting a driver, which I think can be relatively cheap if you plan ahead.
