New here but question about bushes

Hi,

I apologize for jumping into your board, but I need some help with my front yard.

We have three beds in front of our porch. Currently, there is one hydrangea bush there that does very well and has been there for years. The rest of the area is clean and ready to be planted with something.

There is space for about 9-12 bushes.

I want to do something that is low-maintenance and looks good. The area gets sun in the morning.

I was considering holly bushes or more hydrangeas (or rhododendrons). Can any of you help me? I don't know much about serious landscaping. I do a lot of flowerpots and window boxes but that is the extent of my experience. I'd love some opinions as to what will do the best and be the easiest to care for.

My H just moved out and I am overwhelmed with all of the lawn & yard work! I had no idea. I actually enjoy it but am very new to the whole thing.

Thanks!

It would be most helpful if you'd post some pics and/or a sketch of the layout showing the measurements. Or you could just hire a CPLD.
