Update - we got the house!
Hi there! I posted a few days ago about putting an offer in on a house and we found out on Saturday that we got it! Pending inspection, we'll be closing on July 17th. FI and I went to Lowes yesterday and picked out all the appliances and paints we want, too...I never thought I'd be so interested in appliances and paint finishes, haha!

If I can share a word of advice, hold off on the interior decorating plans for now. Inspection and appraisal are 2 huge hurdles that you have yet to complete. If something were to not go according to plan, it's harder to break-up with a house that you've already decorated and made "home" in your head. It's much easier to walk away from the wrong deal if you remain emotionally detached. I say this as someone who walked from 3 wrong house deals before finding the right one. That first break-up was absolute heartache for us because we'd already mentally made it our "home". We were up until 4am talking and crying and wringing our hands over the inspection results. It was tough.
Congrats and I agree with LoveKiss.
We are supposed to close on the 20th of this month, and I haven't bought any paint or home stuff yet, because something could still go wrong. Just be patient, and hope everything goes as planned!
