I was just thinking about all of you lovely ladies. I hope everyone is doing well. Any fun summer plans or fall or winter plans for the rest of year?
Re: Checking in
I'm working on a new children's musical that will take me most of the way through July without much free time, but DH and I are going down to LA next Friday for a concert -- that'll be a fun little road trip.
The last week of July is our town's giant Garlic Festival. I run volunteer check in for one of the parking lots. It's a long weekend but so fun. Two of our good friends are in their last year of being in charge of all aspects of Parking. They moved to Alabama this year so they'll be staying with us for the two weeks surrounding the festival. I'm sure I'll be exhausted by the time they leave but I am SO excited to have them staying with us.
As soon as the guests leave, it'll be full on house decorating time (finally!) because I won't be in rehearsals and will actually have some free time. I'm so stoked for that -- it still doesn't feel like our house.
At the end of August DH and I are going to try to go on a trip with my free hotel nights from work while he has a little break from school. Hopefully it works out. With airfare prices it might not be realistic this year.
And at the end of September, my family is going to Tahoe for a few nights to stay in a cabin my mom won in a charity auction. It'll be super low key -- lots of walks and playing with my little nephew, lots of reading, and lots of breathing in good, clean scents from the trees.
Wow! That's a lot for us.
What about you??

Not a lot new for us either. Plodding away at the kitchen reno (we primed the drywall last night and will be doing ceiling paint tonight, wall paint tomorrow, and tile this weekend).
Dh and I just wrapped up our baseline IF testing and are waiting on results to figure out what our next step will be. I am glad that this round of stuff is done and likely all that is left is a consult appointment. DH and I both feel a little bit like pin cushions at the moment and I had to do an HSG (a real time image of your fallopian tubes etc that was just really not very much fun and I'm thankful that it is not likely a test I'll have to repeat ever again).
Other than that, we just got back from a weekend of camping with friends which was fun. We're not spending a ton of time at my folks' cabin just because it gets full pretty quick with 3 grown kids, their "others", my nephew and 2 big dogs. I forsee a summer at home most of the time which has its pluses and minuses!
Trying to save our pennies as much as possible. We are going camping and doing stuff around town this summer.
The school year is over this Thursday so I am looking forward to a break from my kiddos so I can be refreshed for September!
Moab is amazing... what are you doing there?
