Plantation shutters (interior)

If you have them, where did you buy them?

Re: Plantation shutters (interior)

  • I don't have them yet, but my SIL had her whole house done through Budget Blinds I think. She was happy with the outcome although it wasn't inexpensive at all. I stopped by Home Depot over the weekend and glaced at window treatments - they charge $50 to come out and measure then that $50 is applied toward the cost of whatever you choose. Their shutters were $20-$25/sq ft installed. So my 50x105 window would cost around $700.

  • We had a local window covering company come out and do it.  Each window had to be measured and were made to order.  As the pp said, they are rather expensive but so worth it.  Once all was said and done we paid around 5k.
  • A friend is having hers done, and is working with JC Penneys. She said they were the most affordable option she found for plantation shutters.
  • I have Norman Woodlore Composite Shutters and love them.  Are you looking for wood or faux/composite? What City do you live in?
