Can't get a hold of real life...

So last nite me and the hubby were talking about how we  are total slackers since we been back from the honeymoon...it's been almost three weeks time to get back in the groove. Neither of us has been to the gym...we been going out to eat most nights and spending a ton, which we shouldn't be. He been working weird crazy hours and I just started my practicum to finish my masters so we not total lugs but we seriously need to get back to real life. Haha! He told me last night, honeymoon ends this weekend. Haha!

Anyone else having trouble getting back?

Re: Can't get a hold of real life...

  • Yup! I've put on about five pounds since the wedding (and so has he) -- just three weeks ago! We've gone out to eat more in the past few weeks than we had in months. Plus, we're moving soon, so things will get even more hectic.

Hoping to get back on track soon, though...

  • Me too! I am struggling. I've been having such difficulty sleeping since the wedding - my mind keeps racing about the day and who I didn't get a chance to talk to much etc etc. I am starting to calm down a bit more now though and I am definitely getting back to the gym starting Monday!
  • We're just starting to get back to normal, and our wedding was on May 1st! And we didn't even take a honeymoon. The first month after the wedding, we ate out, ordered in, watched tv, did fun stuff in our area (massages, beach, weekend trip, etc.) I've skipped work way more than I care to admit. No exercise for me, no karate for H, nothing. Here we are 6wks later, and now I think we're just returning to normal (sort of). We talk about the wedding a lot still, and that's nice. I don't reflect as much on my own anymore, thank goodness  :)  I think everything will feel normal once our Thank You cards are out, which will be soon! After that, it'll be balancing real life and "newly-wedded" bliss for at least the first year...or few years... Plus, we still have that honeymoon to look forward to!
