Brazilian Wax

Hi All,

 Long time lurker here. Not sure if this is where I should post this but here it goes anyway. I have my very first appointment to have a Brazilian wax completed. I am slightly nervous. Any advise anyone can give would be awesome.

You can take an advil about an hour before your appointment, if you have never done a full brazilian. I usually use a scrub when I shower before waxing, after waxing, I use a mild soap for couple of days, but use a scrub with salicylic acid (I use one from st. ives) to avoid getting in grown hair.  Also make up your mind (or ask your husbands opinion) if you want a strip left, or complete bare before hand.

It hurts quite a bit the first time, the pain lessens each time. Also, definitely take a pain killer an hour before. It's amazing how much it helps.

 I usually like to wear a skirt to the appointment because I find pants to be too tight and uncomfortable for a day or two.

Definitely wear comfy and not super tight underwear. Like PP said, the first time is the worst, so don't let it scare you away.

Don't carry any firearms. Because it will hurt and you might go nuts and shoot the technician if you're armed. So leave the Glock home.

Take IBProfin. Practice deep breathing. Find a good aesthetician. 

It may hurt like a mo-fo the first time. But once you Brazilian Wax, you never go back.
