Our old house Sassafrass came with one closet on main floor which we used for coats.
That was gutted and we carved out a space for a closet elsewhere. I was
hoping to be able to use the PAX system from Ikea be we are short 1
inch in width. Now I am debating building a closet from scratch or
doing a closet cubby like this:

which looks lovely but has the potential to be messy. I would also like to store our vacuum in there too. (although since we have no carpets debating getting a sweeper instead). Thoughts?
sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.
Re: XP - Coat Closet?
this is a mock up of floor plan. the closet to be is in the top left corner of floor. the grey area behind steps is where china cabinet will be and the blacked out area is the chimney bumpout.

I can't tell on the easy closets website, but do they offer doors? Didn't seem like it, just drawers.
I just love the sleek look of the pax and kitchen cabs from Ikea. I should do a quick search for something similar because we have 2 locations where we need to make new closets.
