Hi there, I saw that you replied to my post regarding the consignment shops. When you went to childrens orchard did they give you a decent price for the clothes? or do you think it's worth just having a yard sale? I was trying to avoid having to do a yard sale bc it would be just baby clothes. Thanks for letting me know that you can consign once a month the woman on the phone when I scheduled my appointment didn't tell me that. She was kind of rude.
Re: *leebi07*
Hi, I've never been to another consignment shop, so don't have much to compare it to. I've congisnged twice with them, once I thought it what she gave me was fair. The second time was less than I expected but she also didn't take as much as I thought she would. I'm going again in a couple of weeks to get rid of some summer clothes from last year. I had a yard sale once; it was a group one but I didn't sell a lot of clothes. The ones who seemed to have sucess with the clothes were the ones who sold everything for $1. I priced mine higher because a lot of it was brand new or only worn once. I like consigning because I can drop it off, run errands and then come back in an hour and it's done as opposed to the 4 hour yard sale. I would ask about the once a month, you used to be able to do that unless they've changed their policy. I usually only go once per season. Good luck, let me know how you make out.
