how to copy these shelves (pip)
I want to have a desk and shelves just like these on the left.
Where would be the best place to get these shelves (a closet design company? HD/Lowes? a cabinet place?)
I have seen similar desks at JCPenny - but if you have any recs for the desk I'll take 'em!

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
Judy - so it's not a DIY project? I have a miter saw and I've build (one) cabinet before (and put in box molding and crown molding before) Would these shelves be very difficult - more than what a basic miter saw could handle?
Sapphire, these are very DIY friendly pieces, you just need the right set of tools and some basic carpentry skills. In terms of tools, you'll need a table saw, a miter saw and a drill (cordless preferred). An electric sander would also be very helpful. Each shelf section is just a box with a face frame on it. I would search youTube for instructions on building built-ins.
The hardest part is planning the layout and then taking that layout and getting a cut list and a procedure from there.
Any questions?
