Phillips Park - Aurora

Has anyone been to Phillips Park in Aurora - the zoo and/or pavillion area?  We are thinking of having our daughter's birthday party there but are planning remotely and won't be moving back until around August 1 (her birthday in Sept) and we want to try and reserve one of the pavillions soon if it is a good place to have her party.  Thanks!

Re: Phillips Park - Aurora

  • It depends on what you are looking for. Philips Park is a nice place to go since there is no fee to get in and they have some different animals there.  Certain areas of the park have definitely become run down and I have seen many questionable people while there.  I am not sure where the pavilions are but near the visitor center and garden are nice areas.  I don't think they would book up fast - every time I have been there I have been one of the only people there.
