do these rugs match??

The blue/beige/brown one would go under our dining room table and the brown/rust/caramel would go in the living room.  It is an open concept space and our dark brown couches would clearly sepaat the two.  They would be about 20 feet apart, but still in the same space.

Re: do these rugs match??

  • Color wise they are fine together, but they tell two completely different stories..

  • I like the top one very much but think it matches with the bottom one (even if their similar colors).
  • I like them separately, but not within the same space even if that space is divided. They look exceptionally different and unrelated even though the colors are similar.
  • I wouldn't put these together, but if they're far enough from each other, they would be okay.  Since you said they would be in the same space, though, I would say no.

  • They don't match if they are displayed together. But since you are using it in two different room it is absolutely fine.
  • agree with prior post, colors go well, but not in the same room.  separate spaces ok
  • Agree, by color only.
  • The colors are fine together, but the patterns are so radically different I don't think they would work in the same area.
  • one is warm and one is cool. one is traditional and one is contemporary. No.
  • like all other comments, the two tell completely different stories.  I personally think the only way they could work in the same open space (even far apart) is if the dining furniture and living furniture also have very different personalities from each other, and would complement each of their respective rugs (to me, that would be more modern with the dining furniture, and really anything not-so-modern with the living room).
