All of these problems at polling places are literally making me sick.

I have a terrible knot in my stomach and I feel a headahce coming on. :(

Poor DH is stuck at work today and I'm updating him anytime I hear something new. First it was problems in Florida, Michigan and Missouri. Then, by the time he'd written me back, I had news about Virgina (and Virgina Tech) and Pennsylvania.

Then the You Tube video of the intimidating-looking guys in Philadelphia.

Christ, it's not even noon here and I'm a nervous wreck. I can't go on like this for the rest of the day. Does anyone have any encouraging news about voting? Even a story about McCain supporters voting successfully would make me happy.

Re: All of these problems at polling places are literally making me sick.

  • I voted successfully!  ...(after I figured out I had to pull a lever...)

And I live in a heavily democratic neighborhood in the Bronx, so those Obama voters are voting, too.

Just remember when millions of people are all doing the same thing on the same day, there are bound to be problems.

  • I'm listening to Air America...

Thom Hartmann has people calling in from all over the country. Some are talking about irregularities, but there are many nice stories, too.

Listen in, the Hartmann show has (I think) another hour to it. It will make you feel better.

    1090 AM

    good luck!

  • There are always always always problems. There were problems in 2000 and 2004 and we can make improvements, but we'll never get it perfect. Just hope for a decisive victory so we're not hanging in limbo to get them all sorted out.

I think that's what is hardest for me. If it's not an obvious victory, all thes probles get much, much bigger. I know there are always problems lik this, I guess I just never cared as much as I do now! Stick out tongue

     Thanks, Momin, I'll give 1090 a listen.
