Recommend your colorfast mulch
I used Nature Scapes brand and the mulch loses it's dark color really quickly. Looks awful. Any recommendations for a mulch that holds the dark color longer than 2 weeks?
TIA

Re: Recommend your colorfast mulch
My H and I use lava rocks. They're more durable and they don't wash away in heavier rains. They also keep their beautiful red hue.
In the past we've gone to the city recycling center for free mulch, but we realized it loses color, & washes away. Another gross thing is we had mold growing through it. We don't live in a wet climate, but it kept popping up because of how much we had down to cover the black lining to keep out weeds. Anyway, lava rocks is the way we suggest.
