Long time since on this board. C25k questions

I'd like to start this program. Can anyone give me suggestion of what podcast to use? Also when running on the treadmill what incline should I use? What pace for walk vs run? I am currently very much a non runner. Any tips for breathing or running technique? Tia.

Come ask on Pro Boards. We have all moved over there.

  • I use the app 5krunner on my iPhone. I do more of a jog than a run and I just walk at the speed where I feel I can recover.
  • I am in week 4 and I jog at a pace that I can recover in the walking phase before another jog phase comes.  For me it is at approx 5mph.  My walking is at approx 3.5 mph.  But find the pace that is right for you.  As you gain momentum with longer jog times you will find that you can jog faster and faster.

TIP....running/jogging on a treadmill is easier than on a track or road.  Once you think you are ready for a race, start testing out your times / endurance outside.  You will probably find it much harder to run/jog the same times that you can on a treadmill.
