Baltimore Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I've seen other boards do them--does anyone want to start one?
Re: Open Letter Friday
Sure, I'll do one!
Dear Neighbors,
I know that you only rent, and that being a rich student from NYC going to Loyola, you don't have time for such things as mowing your lawn, but the rest of the people on your block would much appreciate it. There have been birds building nests in your grass, and I think there is a newspaper or two you missed out on buried a few feet down.
Thanks! Your Neighbor
Follow up:
Dear Neighbors,
Many thanks for mowing your lawn. It looks really great now, except for the TINY issue of 5 lbs of fresh cut grass now residing on my walkway. I'm being a real pain here, but would you mind sweeping that up? I know it's a lot to ask, especially considering we didn't let you use our electric outlet for your Christmas lights, but I'm hoping you don't mind.
Thanks again! Your Neighbor
Dear Gracie,
Please stop waking mommy up at 2:30a.m. every morning just because you sense there are bunnies and raccoons in the yard that need to be chased. Daddy apparently has selective hearing and never notices your incessant whining. Mommy doesn't get to sleep 23 hours a day like you do.
Sincerely,
Your Tired Grumpy Human
Dear woman who works at Harris Teeter,
Thank you so much for coming over to compliment my daughter on her good behavior while I was nursing my son. It meant a lot to me that you took a minute out of your day to notice that she was doing a great job. I have been feeling overwhelmed and she has been having a hard time, so I have not been as positive as I should be. By telling her she was doing a good job, you made me realize that she really was. I was able to appreciate a moment that I almost missed.
Thanks.
