Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Back from vacation
not that anyone is around here to miss me! 
FYI, 4 years old is a wonderful age for StoryLand. Helen was tall enough for all of the rides and she's old enough that we didn't need to bring a stroller.
They have a deal where if you buy your tickets in the last 3 hours of the day, you get a free pass to return any other day that season. We went from 2:30 to 5 on Thursday afternoon and did all the water rides and the circus show, then returned at 9:30 on Friday and stayed until 3:30 (at which point Helen was dead on her feet).
I was a little annoyed that when we visited Cinderella, she tried to upsell DD on the princess tea (that we'd already decided we weren't going to go to/pay for) and we had to listen to Helen ask about it several times, but other than that, it was great.

We're not around, but we do miss you! Come to the dark side! The FB group is now a secret group so only people in the group can see the group etc.
That's a good tip about getting the free tip, maybe we'll check it out next year.

I'm glad you guys had fun! They've done that "deal" at Storyland for over a decade now, which is cool. They've really gone overboard since I worked there in the dark ages. We never had a Cinderella tea or any of that stuff. It's changed a ton!

Thanks for the info on Storyland, we have been wanting to take Josh and i wasn't sure if he would be old enough yet!
For those of you with younger kids than Helen --
She went to Storyland last year at age 3 with her grandparents and she loved it then, too.
There are a few rides that you have to be at least 36" tall to ride but most rides are fine for smaller kids (and pregnant women).
I agree! We took Eli at just over 2. He had a great time and was able to do everything he was interested in.
