AW: 1st 5K in 10yrs! and... what do I do now?

Posted this on the "other board" as well... Wink I know I'm a dirty lurker, but I'm posting anyways!

BUT! I'm very proud- I started C25K in March, got sidelined with knee bursitis, and restarted...

My BFF and I finished together with a time of 32:38! So- a 10:33 pace, I think? I'm usually an 11:30-12:00 pace on my runs at home!!! But those are all up hills, and this was nice & flat!

My question is, what now?? I'd like to try and improve my time. I'll probably do another 5k in Sept or Oct- any training recs? I don't have a ton of time to run with 2 LO's and working FT. I can do 3-4x a week for 30-60 minutes, TOPS!

Thanks and hope everyone else who race this weekend had a great time!

  • Congrats! To improve your time, you could work on adding an interval workout on the treadmill once per week. This should help your speed.
