Squash bugs

I'm removing the eggs and killing the young bugs that I see -- checking each leave regularly for eggs, but I'm far from winning the battle.

I also planted Nasturtium because I read it deters squash bugs, but it hasn't grown much.

I know it's practically impossible to kill the adult squash bugs, but any organic methods to help with the fight? Thankfully they're just attacking my spaghetti squash at the moment and not my cukes or zukes.

Re: Squash bugs

  • you might try a mild soap or tobbacco tea sprayed on the leaves, but try to let it have time to dry without too much sun or it burns as well.
