Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park?
So, I am just hearing about this place! Is it worth the trip from Westminster? How long do you spend there? Just one overnight stay? Anything you can tell me about it would be great, it's hard to tell from just the website and I've never heard anybody ever mention this place before....!!!
Re: Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park?
DH and I have gone up there. We have been on the alpine coaster and through the cave. It was fun and you have a nice gondola ride up. I wouldn't go out there just for that though. We plan to go to Glenwood next month and spend a lot of times in the hot springs. Also, you can rent bikes and take the 16 mile(mostly downhill) ride through the canyon, which is really fun. I'd do a couple of things to make it more worthwhile.

I would normally say that half day up there is sufficient. However, I heard that they put in a few new rides in the last year so you may need more time. Factor in whether or not you want to tour the caverns. (Personally, I liked the Alpine Slide a lot and rode it several times)
If you head up that way, you should plan to hike Hanging Lake. It's only 1.2 miles up and it's beautiful!
Regarding the spring, be warned that it is very commercialized and looks just like a community swimming pool. DH and I have been to Glenwood Springs a few times and we always skip the spring.
