Life of concealor?

I have a tube of Wundercover I bought when I got my make up done for my sister's wedding. I rarely use it, so I have a ton left. However... My sister just celebrated her 5 yr anniversary. Do I have to toss it? Is it okay if only use it a couple times a year?

Re: Life of concealor?

  • You can try it, but my cream base stuff it's usually dried up after a year or two, and even if it may look like the material is pliable, and when applied, it gets cakey and dry a lot faster.

  • If it's dry and cakey I would throw it away. Also, after concealer/foundation sit for a long time, it can become darker as more air gets to it.  Check and make sure the color still works for you. If you have applied the concealer directly from the wand I would throw it away and get new.  Once it touches your skin or other surfaces, bacteria have a better chance of thriving and it's not hygenic.
