Is a mate bed tough to keep neat?
Re: Is a mate bed tough to keep neat?
It's a cool bed. I like the headboard storage. But, yes, it will be tough to keep neat. DS has a bunk bed like this and I'm always fighting it. At least the top stays neat since he is on the bottom. But, I've given up until he is older and can do it himself.
The best trick I"ve learned to keeping kids' rooms neat: shut the door. Mess gone!
They aren't that hard to keep neat- and I think jc penneys carries bunk bed bedspreads (or at least they used to).
The bed is cool- but- beware of the fiberboard! It may not last forever. We had this end up furniture when I was a kid. The have a captains bed option- and it's solid wood and holds up well. Our bunk beds are now at my sisters cabin- still being used 30 years later! My other sister purchased bunk beds for her kids- and have passed them down to my cousin's grandchildren (holding strong after 20 years, they did sand & paint them bc one of my nieces drew all over her bed!)
