Menstrual Cycle - normal?

Sorry - this may be a TMI post, but I am unsure of if this is a normal symptom or not. I usually have pretty normal periods, they come every 21 days and stay for 7 days - first day is very light, second is heavy, and then the rest is a light flow. Today I was working and felt like I was going to pass out if I moved too much... I then realized I've had to "change" about every hour b/c it's so heavy. I went home from work about 2 hours early, and when I eat, I feel fine... as long as I keep nibbling on something. It's not a light-headedness or anything, just from my stomach/cramps. Have you experienced this before? Could it just be from a heavier period this time?

Re: Menstrual Cycle - normal?

  • It's very possible that it could be from a heavier period. Is there a reason for the change in your bleeding? If you have a doctor's appointment any time soon, I would definitely bring this up, especially if it happens again.

  • A MUCH heavier than normal period?  With bad cramps?  Could it be a miscarriage?  If you are concerned I would definitely talk with a doctor.
