Jeans cleaning?

How do you ladies clean your jeans?  Do any of you dry clean your expensive/nice jeans?  If not, how do you keep that nice fit/color?

Re: Jeans cleaning?

  • I wash all my jeans.  i make sure to wash on cold and then only dry for 5 min before hanging.  I heard that if you wash your jeans for the first time with 1 cup vinager it keeps from fading.  i did do this with my most expensive pairs; I'm not sure it helped, but it was a piece of mind...
  • I worked in retail a long time.  Every jeans seminar we did the vendor said to wash your jeans inside out always to slow the fading process as well as always wash in cold water.  The dryer doesn't hurt them color wise, but will cause shrinkage.

You can definitely dry clean jeans for your best color results but it's just way more expensive.
