Hello? Anyone there?

My name is Angie, and I posted on this board semi-frequently, 2008-2010, or so. Got distracted by life, baby, work, house, husband, work, baby, and zombies, not necessarily in that order.

Now that things are slower at work, I'm hoping to pick back up and participate a bit more. Looks like I'm a month or so too late! Everyone took their ball and went home, eh?

Hi, welcome back. I think everyone's still lurking, unfortunately, many of us don't have anything going on. There is another board some people left for, but EI is consolidated there with cooking, so entertaining posts can get buried.  If you have any parties coming up, do share!

Anyone do supperclubs?  My dh and I are in a supperclub.  We take turns hosting.  Each month, the volunteer host/ess choose the theme (ie: Greek food, black and white party, aphrodisac's, ect...) and makes the main dish.  The host/ess sends out an evite and all the other's make something that goes with the theme like sides, apps, desserts, ect...  It is a fun way to entertain and a monthly outing for us all.

That would be a great party, and a great way to get out each month. I'd love to try it!

I agree I'd love a supper club.  I tried to get one started here, but people got busy and couldn't commit.  I hosted the first one and no one ever picked up the next torch.  Debbie, how does your group address that?  Does everyone take a month at the first meeting and that's it, that's your month?  Any tips for making it run smoothly?
