TGIF

It's Friday!

I have my appointment today. Crossing my fingers that they start to figure this out. I'm super duper sleepy and am about to head back to bed for a bit. Getting up at 5 was way to early.

How is everyones Friday?

Re: TGIF

  • I'm bored at work!  I'm entering in vacation time for associates, and then heading home.  Tonight I'm playing 2 softball games in this heat.  That'll be fun.  A little too hot for me, but oh well.

On the plus side - I went to best buy last night and narrowed down my choices for a camera to 4!  Hopefully I'll have a new camera within a couple of weeks!

  • I hope you finally get some answers. Good luck!

I'm about to head to the pool for a couple of hours and then it's back to work for the weekend. Ugh.

  • Getting a new camera is very exciting.

Thanks Jen. You seem to be at the pool a lot. I can't wait to start spending time by the pool. Do you just hang out by it or actually go swimming? I tend to read while I'm in the pool.

I would LOVE to be at the pool right now!

All tanning. I haven't swam in years. I need to get back into it. When it's so hot that the coolest the house gets is 75, I tend to run to the pool.

  • Bad, but then again, when your credit card company calls and says someone tried to spend $2000 on your card, it doesn't make for a good day.

That's what happened to Vhati this morning.  Luckily, his card company contacted him and is taking care of it; we're getting new cards tomorrow (they're being rushed to us).  Making it more a serious annoyance versus end of the world sort of thing.

It's been a kinda blarg 48 hours.  We're not sure if our insurance claim on our plane tickets for October will be accepted (it would cost us about the same amount of money as the tickets cost to reschedule the flights).  Best case scenario is we're credited back something and we can rebook our flights; second best is we can rebook our flights with a minimal cost, worst case scenario (and what we both kind think will happen) is we end up eating the cost of the tickets.  Small good thing is it was tax check money so it wasn't money out of pocket.

Vhati is glad I tend to try and find silver linings in bad situations.  He had grown up in if something bad happens it is a "THE HORROR!  THE WORLD IS ENDING!  EVERYTHING IS DOOM AND BAD AND EVERYONE IN THE WORLD IS OUT TO GET ME!" (his Mom's view of when things go not smoothly).....I've calmed him down from that over the past 5 years.

But on the more ridiculous side of things.  Vhati's Mom suggested to Vhati's Dad that they should move to Bandon, OR, so she can find a guy to date (they're divorced).  Cause that's how that works?
