Taco Bar? Yay or Nay?
H and I just bought our first house 
and are planning to host a house warming party. My idea was to set up a taco bar with meat and beans (for vegetarians). I will provide tortilla chips, soft/hard shells and all the fixings. We will also have some deserts and a few other small apps (quiche, spinach dip, and probably meatballs)..do you all think a taco bar would be weird for a house warming? I know it's not part of the customary food provided at an event of this type, but figured it would hold up well and be filling. Thoughts? Is this too much food?

That is a great idea! People LOVE different this idea is very different. Congrats on buying your first home by the way! Another good side idea is rice! Rice is cheap, good, and you can easily spice it up however you want! Good luck on your house warming party!
Sounds like a great idea. I did a fiesta themed shower a few months ago. Check out my fiesta board on pinterest in my siggy.
These beer'garitas were awesome. Surprisingly authentic flavor but super easy.
This shrimp cocktail was really good too.
Everything else I made I think was just ok, not fabulous (the nest ate all the posts from before May, so I can't remember exactly), so let me know if you have any questions I can answer.
