Had To Share

DH and I had sex last night for the using coconut oil as lube.  I have been eating organic unrefined extra virgin coconut oil for the past six months when we have intercourse to prevent UTI's.  But a couple of days ago I did some research about it and stumbled on the fact that it is great to use as a lubricant.  Apparently, the store bought lubes have so many chemicals they can throw off the ph in the woman's body.  So the coconut oil is a much better option since it is naturally antibacterial it helps to prevent UTI's & yeast infections.

Normally, we never use lube except for flavored during oral.  So the sex was amazing he really enjoyed it and so did I.  I just wanted to share with anyone that suffers from any of these problems after intercourse (UTI's & yeast infections).  Hopefully you can give it a try.  I think this is going to respark our sex life since it has been limited due to me being afraid of suffering another UTI.

  • Thanks for sharing this is really good to know.
  • Yep, they sell coconut oil based lube.:)  It's been mentioned on this board.
  • I really need to invest in some coconut oil. It's good for so many things!

  • Just because it's "natural" doesn't mean that it isn't full of chemicals.  Everything is a chemical - your body is comprised of chemicals.  Sure, be mindful of what you are putting in/on your body, but don't be so quick to assume that "natural" is the same as "harmless" or "man-made" is the same as "terribly bad for you."  This marketing tactic that has been run around American is quite astounding for its tenacity and scare-tactics.

  • I just read about this about a month ago and bought 2 jars - one for the kitchen and one for the bedroom.  It.is.fantastic!

  • Funny to hear because Dr OZ was talking about it yesterday and he evenmentioned that he also uses it....
