Board & Batten - how do you do a window with no frame?

The Mister and I are debating on how you do board and batten under the window in our guest room. I said maybe we just don't do batten and leave it blank, but I think that would look way too obvious. Do you add moulding under it like this http://www.centsationalgirl.com/2011/03/board-and-batten-complete/ or is that weird? The window doesnt have a frame, so for the sides DH was just going to cut it at an angle. Now...what to do about the underneath part? Thanks!

Re: Board & Batten - how do you do a window with no frame?

  • I would continue it underneath the window..  If you don't have a bottom trim piece on the window to hide the top of the board and batten, you would just use a top board and batten section.  Not sure I understand the cutting it at an angle idea... maybe post a couple pictures?
