What tunes are getting YOU pumped lately?

I teach group fitness classes..mostly spinning and am always looking for suggestions for what gets people pumped!  I switch it up a lot b/c I have a wide range of ages so I have everything from oldies to current stuff on the radio..

What are some songs that get you going and make you want to push yourself?

Re: What tunes are getting YOU pumped lately?

  • "The B!tch is Back" and "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" by Elton John are two of my older favorites, along with "Does Your Mother Know" by ABBA and "Rubberneckin'" by Elvis.

I don't have a ton of super recent songs, but these are some of my favorites when I run:

"Say Hey (I Love You)" by Michael Franti & Spearhead, "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyonce, "Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO, "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5, and various Lady Gaga.

  • There is one song gets me going nice and strong for a run. It's Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls". It's strange but the rock melody with the lyrics make me giggle and get pumped up. Can't be in a bad mood when listening to Queen teehee.
  • Nice name:)  I am also from upstate NY.  I have a lot of 90's tunes and inappropriate badass tunes on my ipod for running.  I liked all the Lady Gaga songs in zumba class.
