What's on your want to read list?

I saw an author post on FB her summer reading list.  It was fun to read because she wants to read a few books by my favorite authors as well. I thought it would be fun to see what we are planning on reading or what we want to read this summer!

I want to read a bunch of newly published books by my favorite authors:

Size 12 and Ready to Rock-Meg Cabot (fourth in her Heather Wells mystery series

Object of My Affection-Jill Smolinski and These Girls-Sarah Pekkanen

Where We Belong-Emily Giffin and The Next Best Thing by Jennifer Weiner-these two will be in hardcover for awhile, I need to get my name on the wait list at the library and maybe they will become available before the summer ends!

Others include two more books in the mystery series I read by Carol Higgins Clark, books I have on my bookshelf I have bought and haven't got to yet (mostly chick lit or books to read at the beach,) and Catcher in the Rye.  I have never read it! I started reading it at Target years ago and didn't buy it.  I bought it on another trip but still have not read it.  It has been on my bookshelf through moves and everything so I need to get around to it!!! :-)

Re: What's on your want to read list?

  • My list is insane.  We'll see what I get through.  This is just some of what I want to read.

A bunch of middle school level books including Mockingbird, Zen and the Art of Faking It, Every Soul a Star, Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, Racing in the Rain (the younger version of The Art of Racing in the Rain), and Heart of a Samurai.

Afterwards by Rosalind Lupton.  I loved her first book Sister.

Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys.  I have been wanting to read this for ages!

Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness.  This is the follow up to A Discovery of Witches, which I loved!  Can't wait for this to come out later this month!

Daisypath Anniversary tickers    Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

  • Once I get through my current books (50 Shades of Grey and War and Peace):

    - Pride and Prejudice ... It's crazy that I haven't read this yet, I know.

    - Twain's Feast by Samuel Clemens

    - Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain

    - the other two books in the 50 Shades series

If I can get through all these this summer, I will consider it an accomplishment! I should print my list out and put it on the fridge to keep me on track.
