Re: (Untitled)

  • We bought the Nest thermostat this past winter.  We initially bought it so we could temperature control from our iPhones and online.  H and I travel a lot for work and this was a great option for us, I mean seriously? Turn on the heat from the airport, that is awesome.  Since then we have saved a lot of money by being able to set the thermostat to away or even off while we travel or aren't home.  I think that we would benefit from this even more if we were home more often, since it is a learning thermostat.  The thermostat learns your habits, and after a few days of you guys adjusting the temperature, the thermostat will do it automatically.

I think that it is a little bit of an investment but there are a lot of benefits that go with it.

  • I'm a little late to this post, but we have one and we love it.  When we first moved in a year ago we had an ugly old one and couldn't get the temperature somewhere we were happy with, but with the Nest we control it on our phones and it learns how you like to live.  I think it's totally worth it, because I can't remember my parents ever needing to replace a thermostat.  Go for it!
