What did you do for the 4th?

I've been gone for a while and I apologize. It is sad to see this place be so empty though :( Let's get the conversation going again by sharing what we did.

Re: What did you do for the 4th?

  • This was the most stressful 4th I've had. During the Storms on sunday a electrical pole behind our house was hit by lightning and caught the wires and trees on fire. After the lines burning for a while it fell in my neighbor's back yard. After a while that lit my neighbors storage building on fire so we were up all night worrying about it spreading and were dealing with getting things fixed from iteven weds morning.

After all that I was very nervous to have a bunch of fireworks going off around the house. (We seemed to be the only ones though because all the neighbors just kept letting off in their yards.) I didn't go out to any of the big shows or anything because we were afraid to leave with our yard being so dead.

On the bright side we found out that my dog likes fireworks.  She has always liked the smaller ones but has never been around the large ones. Since my neighbors were doing the really big ones we sat out in the back yard with her and she seemed to love it (although it was only if we were outside with her :P ).

  • We finished packing for our move!! We also watched our neighbors throw fireworks into on coming traffic! What wonderful bright people they are!!

We finally moved back to a real town. The small town was not the life for us so we are now living in Bowling Green, and could not be happier!

I hope everything is better since the 4th!

  • Yep, everything is better now. It is was crazy then. I hope that is the only excitement we have for a while. :)
