I love a BFN

My period was a little late and I'd been needing to pee a lot lately and have been having upset tummies and cramps lately. Even though I strongly suspected it was just stress, I figured I'd better take a test before my next Depo shot just to make sure I wasn't pregnant. Well, it's definitely a negative! A very clear one too. It's always such a relief to see, even when I don't strongly suspect being pregnant.

I love babies, and I do want to start a family with my FI, and I think we'd both be great parents. But not now! There's too much to do! I've got my business, he has his job, and we want to travel and have fun before we start a family. I'm sure we'll travel and have fun after having kids, but it won't be the same as just the two of us together. Just being engaged people are already asking when we'll procreate. We want to be married for a while first!

Re: I love a BFN

  • I'm on Seasonale, so I only have a period every 3 months.  I swear I POAS every three months when my period seems like it's taking forever because I get so paranoid!  I like fewer periods, but it does suck just a little not having a monthly assurance that I'm not KU.

  • two months ago my period was about oh I dunno...12 hours late?  I bought like 5 tests to make sure.  Its normal :)  I live for the military life, our puppies and my work right now.  Oh and vacation :)

  • I have never had to POAS, but there are times that I've contemplated buying a test even though I'm on BCP. Yikes!

  • I am definitely with you on this!  A couple months before my wedding, I was a little late--most likely to due to pre-wedding stressing--and was struck with panic that I could be pregnant.  Thankfully, five tests later revealed five BFN and sweet relief.  I love kids too and am excited to start a family with DH, but we just want to spend some time being together first and get situated in our life together.

SOOOO Glad that I'm not the only one that freaks out when its hours late.  Last week mine was about 7 or 8 hours later than I normally get it and I was like...WTF. Prego. NOOOO.
