Atlanta - BFF Mommy Getaway

Hey. I need some input. My BFF and I are planning a little trip for the two of us to get away from our mommy lives and do some relaxing.
The ATL area or somewhere within driving distance is preferable (1-2 hours max). We are looking for relaxation, quiet, nature, peace, like a place you'd go to sit and unwind.
No clubs or night life needed. Antiquing, spa, and shopping are okay. Oh, and it will be in early January 2013.
What do you recommend? I will post on the local ATL board too.
