Anyone here have experience with KB Homes? H and I are looking for fun because we plan on moving to the Houston area in a few years and I've fallen in love with the KB Homes company. It kinda looks that you buy the plan then pay for everything in it as well. I'd love to hear any feedback on them. TIA!
Re: KB Homes
Just google KB homes sucks and you'll see a ton of bad reviews.
There are certainly much better homebuilders at that same price point.
I'd stay far, far away.
I've never owned a KB home, but I've never heard a single good thing about them.
Thanks! That's good to hear. I noticed they're in multiple states so figured they must be doing something right lol. If you don't mind me asking, did you pay extra for all of your countertops, appliances, etc.? Or did it come with the plan? The prices look great and we'd love to build just wondering if that price includes everything in it or just the house itself

OP - it honestly depends on your budget. KB here in Houston is all low end ($150k or less). At that price point, you will never get anything custom. Some other builders which are much better and can be found in a similar range are
Perry
David Weekley
Lennar (cheaper version of Village)
Meritage
Again, just depends on the area and budget. Good luck!
Westin and Triumph as well. We almost built with one of them but found a David Weekley resale that we love. Westin, Triumph, and Weekley all build quality homes.
My SIL and BIL have a Chesmar home and it's quality as well.
