It irks me every time we scoot the chairs under the table and I imagine our wood floors scratching. Plus I just think a nice area rug would warm up the space, then I think about cleaning food off a rug (our fifteen month isn't the cleanest eater). Do you have anything under your Dining room table? I was thinking maybe this indoor/outdoor rug from Ballard

we have grey walls in the kitchen and hearts of palm (a lovely soft yellow green) in the adjacent dining area. So I'm thinking green, grey, or natural. Even though the spa is my favorite color, lol. The one bad review about quality sort of concerns me though.

Re: Under the kitchen table?
I like the rug, and I love indoor/outdoor rugs for their durability. If you think the space would look better with a rug, that one sounds good. If you're just worried about the floors and don't want to have to clean food out of the rug, then just put some felt feet on your chairs.
eta: check Overstock too. I got an in/out rug there a few years ago for so little and it still looks great.
We have a cream and white rug underneath our dark wood dining room table, and really like the way it looks. The room is dark blue with white trim, and the floor is hardwood. I think the rug makes the room look a little more finished and also gives some contrast between the wooden table and wooden floor.
I really like the rug you chose, and any of those colors would probably work. I would probably go with the natural, in all honesty - but that's just me, and if I could, I would do my whole house in shades of white. I would also suggest measuring to make sure you get a rug that's big enough to scoot chairs out comfortably.
With regard to the quality, just be prepared to return the rug if it doesn't meet your expectations. Good luck!
