Which color works best? Ty 4 ur help

Our bedroom is painted a light purple, a cool color. Our furniture is dark mahogany Sleigh bed and matching items (pottery barn) and the trim in the room is all white (closet doors, baseboards, etc) with white black out blinds on the windows. The windows are trimmedwith light wood but at some point we might think about staining it a bit darker. I was thinking maybe grey with some added punch in the form of? Maybe grey, plum, and yellow? So like the honey duvet, grey sheets, and a plum soft blanket at the foot of the bed and mix in some yellow and plum pillowcases for my abundance of pillows. Not totally sure plum will work in here. I am totally open to other color combos. I feel sire the sage will look good in here I mean when doeskin not look good with purple? But what would I pair with it? Trying to remember what the paint is named. I will try to post a picture tomorrow

on to my question. I'm looking at duvets and this caught my eye.

Another choice

http://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Havana-Floral-Duvet-Cover-Set/3231682/product.html Really the sage, honey, or taupe could all work I think. Which do you Think will work best? Right now I have all white bedding and I need to liven up the joint. I'm thinking of getting a nice capiz chandelier or other slightly funky but elegant/contemporary/ vintage lighting. What color sheets do you recommend with your choice? Ay other accent colors that you think would do well with your choice?

  • I like the sage cover with your purple walls. As for sheets, no idea. I'd probably go an ecru or cream color to go with the design on the sage duvet. As for other accent colors, I think it' be best to not have too many colors in the room. It sounds like you already have dark wood, light wood, white, black, purple, & then sage. I'd probably focus on the purple & the sage.

Oh, and I'd definitely stain the light wood to match the furniture.

But that's just my opinion, good luck with your choices!
