Nordstrom 2012 Anniversary Sale
So this is my first year really caring about the annual Nordstrom sale, especially because I recently became a cardholder. I'm a little confused though- are the items shown in the preview catalog the only ones that will be included in the sale? Or are there lots of other good deals to be had? Is it worth it to get there early when the store opens? How do cardholders shop early online?

There is a lot more that is not in the catalog. If you want to shop the presale in the store that starts on the 11th, I suggest making an appointment with one of the sales people. The sales merchandise is usually tented off by dept and they like that you are accompanied by a salesperson to browse the tents. I have always managed to get into the tents with my presale invitation but the last two years I just had a salesperson take me around the store and I sent them running all over the place finding stuff for me, dh, and my kiddos.
You can call or go in to make an appointment. It's pretty simple. Online the sale starts right away for cardholders. I think they will send an invitation link in your email.
I am super excited they are doing the online thing this year!
