I hope everyone had a wonderful wedding!  We did, even though it was SO HOT and we were outside the whole day.   I'm in the midst of doing the name change stuff.  I have a feeling it's going to take awhile.

Yup, I still haven't finished with everything and my car insurance spelled our last name wrong even though H was on my insurance a few months prior. When I called to fix it, I spelled out the name and the literally said "So just like H's?". Yes.

I just started the name change process today. I'm going to the social security office today. I didn't know i needed my momma's SSN, so i have to wait til she goes on lunch to call her. I feel like this process is gonna be a PAIN. But i'm so excited to officially become a Keczan ( Ket-sun) lol no one can say my name correctly now!

Name change is never fun. I am about half done and have lost all motivation to finish. I have all the important stuff like drivers license, ss card, bank, and insurance. I am sure at some point I will get around to it.

I'm headed to the SS office tomorrow because I'm hoping a Tuesday will be less crazy than a Monday!

I got there about 10:30 on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all. Did you know you can make appointments at the SS office?  I didn't.  I just have the basics done now and need to get more into the process.

 FWIW, I walked to the SS office from my building, changed my name and walked back in about 40 minutes. It wasn't bad at all.

 I walked in and out in 20 minutes! I was shocked at how painless it was. Now, the DMV was a different story. An hour and a half!

I know, right? It's scary.

 FWIW, I walked to the SS office from my building, changed my name and walked back in about 40 minutes. It wasn't bad at all.

So far, I have only had my name changed at the DMV & called my car insurance to alert them about the change of martial status.

On Monday, I plan to go to the SS office, my mortagage company, and my bank.

I think everything after that can probably be done over the phone (credit cards).

Once my SS card comes in the mail I will have to give my employer a new copy of my driver's license and ss card.

I have already changed my status to married for tax purposes.
