Short sale is approved, but found FHA approval on the track expired
I was so excited after almost 2 months that the offer we put in on a condo got approved by the bank. Now today, I talk to my lender and he informed me that the FHA approval on the tract we are buying expired at the end of May (right after we put our original offer in). He said he contacted the sellers agent to see about getting it re-approved, but geeze! Has anyone had to deal with this before?
We are waiting on the inspection and appraisal until we get it figure out. My agent said it should only take 24-48 to get the approval, I sure hope he is right about that.
