Do any of you know what would be a cheap (or even better -- free) slideshow I could use. My parents are throwing us a wedding reception here in our hometown since H and I got married OOT. I thought putting a slideshow together would be better than handing out a shoebox full of pictures....
Re: Slideshow
I'm assuming if youre asking about slideshows, you don't have a Mac? When I first got a Mac, professional looking slideshows were so easy, I literally laughed because I couldn't believe how much work I used to put into slideshows.
Assuming you have access to a Mac, here's how to do it: Upload your pictures to a new album on iPhoto. Click Play Slideshow in bottom left corner of window (it's a triangle like the "Play" button on a VCR or DVD player). A settings window may pop up before it starts (if not, click the gear thumbnail to get here) and this is where you can change how long each picture stays up for, whether or not you want to shuffle the images, which music it plays (there are some that go with the effects or you can play a playlist from iTunes), transition effects (i.e. scrapbook, shatter, zoom/Ken Burns style, etc.), repeat pictures, all that. And then literally, THAT'S IT. Seriously, it'll make you sick when you think about how much time slideshows take on a PC. 2 minutes, if that.
Good luck!
