Placemats/color question.....
Are there any hard and fast rules on how to introduce color to a place setting?
I've fallen in love with the pheasant placemats from Citta Design here but am not sure how to use them with my traditional feel dining room and setting. Would I be better to use colored napkins, tablecloth etc instead?
Probably overthinking it but would like some expert opinions, I'm such a design rookie and don't want the placemats to look out of place!
Re: Placemats/color question.....
I think you're overthinking it a bit, that's for sure!
I actually own two sets of their circle shaped placemats, one of the white and one of the black and have them on the table at the same time. I use a monochromatic color pallet across the whole table setting and then liven it up with a pop of color by using a colored tablecloth.
They're beautiful placemats and would look great anyway you use them!
