Help me out here. We are leaving town for 6 days, first trip we've taken since we adopted Jake (a Westie) that we haven't him along with us.
A neighbor will keep Jake in her house all night, walk him in the morning and then leave him at my house during the day (like usual), my daughter is going to walk him after she gets off work in the late afternoon and then the neighbor would get him from my house and give him a late night walk and keep him overnight....etc.
What is a fair amount to pay the neighbor, or maybe I can give her cash AND gift cards to some local restaurants.....? I have no idea
Thanks
Re: Dog Walker/Sitter help
If you are close to the neighbor I think a souvenir from your vacation, like a local candy, wine or something would be a nice personal gift. for example we got our dogsitter a bottle of Jack from our trip to TN or saltwater taffy from the shore.
I think that along with possibly a gift card for dinner and the promise to return the favor when they need a vacation would be more than enough between friends.
