XP: iphone 3GS battery issues

I bought a used factory unlocked iphone off ebay. The phone works well except that the battery cannot hold a charge. Seller says he wasn't aware and that I can send the phone back and he'll replace the battery or I can get a full refund less shipping.

In researching the issue it seems it is a widespread issue with the iphone 3gs's and replacing the battery has worked for some but not for others. The iphone 4 doesn't work with my provider's sim cards so that option is out.

If I do return to get a refund I'm afraid the next iphone 3 will have the same problem. The whole reason we switched providers was so I could have the iphone. Arggg. I have wanted an iphone so badly. :(

Also anyone have success using a sim cutter? I have read you can cut your sim to make it a micro sim to fit in the iphone 4.

This is my AE.

Re: XP: iphone 3GS battery issues

  • It sounds like you may be better off buying a phone from the phone company instead of ebay.  Also, if this is a problem that's well documented about the iphone, why are you wanting to get one so bad?
