Messy Kitty

One of my cats is so messy. I'm so tired of litter everywhere and scooping is the worst. Wouldn't trade them for the world but I'm hoping this will cut down some of the litter scatter. Plus I like the idea that it is self-cleaning and doesn't need to be scooped. Just pull out the tray and away you go. If anyone out there has one please let me know pros and cons. Thanks!

Re: Messy Kitty

  • I have had the same one since February, and I love it! You will need to roll it completely upside down to remove everything, so make sure you have a couple feet of empty space to roll it. Also, the easiest way to fill it is to stand it up on the back end so the hole is on the top and just pour it in - I tried filling it without standing it up once, and it created quite the mess. Hope you enjoy it!

  • We had one of these for years. You just roll the box upside down to filter out the clean litter. Then roll it right side up to let the clumps fall in the bin. It is sooo easy. I found rolling it slowly filters the litter best. Also if to much litter is in the box it will not filter as well. I fill it by taking off the lid. And I take it apart completely to clean it when needed.

The only place you will find litter is at the entrance of the box. A small rug or rubber mat placed at the entrance will help catch the unwanted litter.

The only other box that would almost completely eliminate litter mess would be one that is fully enclosed except for a hole in the top. The hole in the top is the only way in or out for kitty.

  • That's the one I have and I love, love, love it!
