XP: Halloween costume idea...

I'm posting it here since there is close to nothing on the actual Holiday board.

I am going to be getting a Moby wrap, and using it a lot. I am also planning on using it for a Halloween costume (being a kangaroo, and having the Moby be sort of the "pouch" and my baby being the joey).

In your opinion, would the creamy white Moby pull the costume off enough to where people obviously know we would be a kangaroo, or do you think I would have to get the brown one?

Also, any ideas for how to make it cuter or work better are welcome! Thanks in advance! I do plan on getting a kangaroo hat for the baby, and probably just making felt ears for me to pin in my hair, and wearing brown clothing.

Re: XP: Halloween costume idea...

  • Where do you plan to go with the baby/costume? Is this your first? IF the baby arrives on time, it would only be ~ 2 weeks old at that time...Personally at that time I'd rather have used any extra time for sleeping!  We didn't take LO out much except for dr. appts and lactation meetings in the first month and relatives came to us. HTH!

  • DS was born on October 20th, and while we did take him to one Halloween party we only stayed for a bit - fall is horrible for colds/flu/etc up here and everyone and their mother wanted to hold him. Don't get too caught up with costumes since you could have a c-section and you may not be able to wear him at that time - I wasn't a fan of "wearing" DS so you could be fine regardless.

In the end, if it works out I would just get whichever color you're going to get the most wear out of in the long run.  People will be so excited to see the baby they won't even notice :-)
