How is your DH doing these days? Back to his old self? I have been scarce in the past couple of months because of work and was just wondering.
Re: **smange**
He's doing really well. Almost completely recovered from the January surgery. You can still see the skin graft and incision on his leg but it's healing and that could take up to a year to 'go away'. He has to put Palmers cocoa butter on it everyday and be super careful with the sunscreen - it can't get burned or anything. A couple of weekends ago, he actually went for a run and started to play tennis (carefully) with a buddy of his. He still impresses me everyday.
His second procedure was scheduled for right after Memorial Day but we found out 3 days before that his insurance wouldn't cover it. OY - so we've been dealing with that ever since. We found out today that the appeal went through and it will be covered. Surgery #2 (outpatient this time) is now scheduled for the 31st. They'll prep his mouth for implants and all that fun stuff. The doctor equated this to wisdom teeth surgery - so he'll be puffy and in pain but compared to January - that's nothing!! And then 3 or so months from then, he'll actually be able to get his teeth. He's very much looking forward to that. Even though it was only 4 back teeth that they wound up removing, I know it bothers him.
Thank you for checking in.
