I hate having small feet, and being small in general...

My shoe size is a 4.  It is so incredibly hard for me to find affordable shoes that are in my size.  I am also not one of those girls that likes to spend a lot of money on shoes.  I wish I could go to places like Target or Payless and pick out a cute pair of shoes, but I can't because the smallest size these and most other places carry are a 5.5.  I know online stores like Nordstrom and Zappos carry my size, but they are so freaking expensive!  I guess I am doomed for a life of Old Navy kids flip flops, and Nike sneakers (Nike runs small so their size 5's fit me perfect).

Also, while I am on the subject of being small, why do stores insist on putting the small sizes on the top shelf, and the large sizes on the bottom shelf?  I went the the mall yesterday and two of the stores I went into had the xs's on the very top shelf (that I wouldn't have even been able to reach if they gave me a step stool), and the larges were on the bottom.  Seriously?

btw I am 4'10 inches and 90 lbs and only dream of being able to wear stilettos.

  • Join the club! My feet are size 5, and I'm a bit taller (5') and 105lbs, but seriously, shoes are horrendeous to shop for! Also, most of the stores which carry work attire (I'm a CPA, must dress nice) have completely sized me out of their store. I was at NY&Co and I could put on the size 0 skirt w/out unzipping it Confused. Ummm... how crazy is it! I wish they still did old sizing, as I was a size 3-5 in HS!

I always comment on that about the shoes, too. Usually people with larger shoe size are taller, too.

Do you have a nordstrom rack near you? Ours carrys shoes discounted from nordstrom prices from size 4 to 13.

    I don't think I've ever been a size 0 hahaha

  • But you can shop in the kids department for shoes! Obviously not heels, but I buy all my flats and sandals in the kids section and save a ton on them.

When I was thinner, I would also buy casual clothes in the kids department, because the skirts and pants in a size 14 kids were always the right length.

Chin up! It could be worse-you could be short and smalbut with a grown up size pot belly like me Stick out tongue
