Easy almost no sewing skills req slipcover tutorial?

I can't find a slipcover for my armchair-style glider anywhere so I may have to bite the bullet and make one myself.. paying a seamstress is waaaaay out of the nursery budget at this point. Any suggestions for easy to follow tutorials?

Thanks!!

  • That is not a easy project for a person who doesn't know how to sew very well.  I think its easier to buy the fabric and recover over making a cover.
  • I'm not sure about an armchair glider. I re-did our basic (wood frame) glider, but it just had two cushions so it was pretty straightforward. I have no idea how to sew but it turned out well. I'm not sure whether it would be relevant, but you're welcome to take a look:

How is this different than a slipcover?

If it's just a matter of covering removable pads, it's pretty simple. The tutorial the OP linked would explain it. If it's an upolstered chair, it's probably beyond you.

I sew very well and avoid slipcovers for any but the simplest chair pad.
